Wet Riser Installation

Wet Risers

Wet Risers are installed in buildings for fire fighting reasons

Wet risers are left charged with pressurised water from an in-house pump and in addition capable of being charged with water by pumping from fire appliance.

Wet Riser Installation

We are Wet Riser installation experts. We work closely with M&E contractors to provide and fit the Main riser pipework, PRVs, Isolation valves and test drains.

  • A Wet Riser System is installed with a Landing Valve at pre-specified locations on each floor
  • Typically, a Wet Riser is installed up to and over 50m. The system will be designed to provide high pressure flow at the upper floors.
  • A test riser is installed in parallel to the wet riser to allow the evacuation of water from the Wet Riser for flow test purposes.
  • PRVs are installed at every floor to ensure the required optimum pressure is delivered in the event of an emergency

Dry Risers Direct will work with you to supply and install the pipework, PRVs and test drain and connecting to the pump ready for commissioning.

We have installed at prestigious site such as New Era Sheffield, Spinningfields in Manchester and City Island in London.

We can also assist with the commissioning of the Wet Riser systems by recording flow and Pressure rates at 1 or 2 outlet valves.

Testimonials

"Thank you for carrying out your installation today, your installers were great and everything was completed quickly and left tidy."

Dean DurrantLG Building Poole Ltd

We have two Dry Risers in Anglesey, both of which had been neglected for a long period of time. Initially I was informed that both Dry Risers were in need of fairly major repair work. I contacted Dry Risers Direct and they responded in a professional, helpful manner, without fuss or delay. They completed an initial survey of both Dry Risers and proposed alternate options which would avoid unnecessary expense, extensive repair work, extensive building work and would be completed in time to satisfy the Fire Service. To my and the Directors delight they fulfilled all their promises and today we have two fully functional, air tight and Certified Dry Risers.
