Installing Dry Risers in the Pitfield Street Cinema Redevelopment
We’ve been selected to supply and fit a new dry riser at Pitfield Street, Hackney, London at a renovated derelict cinema. The dry riser system will consist of a total of 6 outlets. 8 lengths of feed will be required to complete the installation which commences in the next few weeks.
The Pitfield Street redevelopment, designed Waugh Thistleton Architects, combines the restoration of a derelict cinema with the provision of new commercial and residential accommodation for Hackney.
The old 866-capacity cinema originally opened in 1914. It shut temporarily during the blitz, then closed in October 1956. It fell into disrepair and was sold in 1960, when it became a meat packers and then a delicatessen.
