Barwood Capital, in collaboration with Flexiss, has embarked on a new venture in the self-storage sector. As part of this initiative, the company secured its first site in Lincoln, a strategic move to tap into the rapidly expanding market. Given the critical need for fire safety in such developments, Dry Risers Direct Ltd was commissioned to design, install, and commission a dry riser system that ensures compliance with fire safety regulations.

The new self-storage facility in Lincoln required a reliable and compliant fire suppression system to protect the premises and meet safety standards. Given the nature of self storage units where flammable materials may be stored – it was imperative to implement fire suppression solution. The client sought a system that would not only adhere to regulatory requirements but also be installed efficiently to align with their construction timeline.

The system was engineered in accordance with BS 9990:2015, ensuring full compliance with UK fire safety standards.
