Not many people know that in some cases, an alternative to Sprinklers are Dry risers.
We install many dry risers where access for a fire appliance is restricted due to a narrow or low access point. A dry riser buried under ground will act as a bridge transporting water to the fire, satisfying building regulations and negating the need for sprinklers. The advantage comes where the property owner or manager realises that there is no messy and disruptive work required to the interior of the building, the cost is usually a lot less and there us no additional space required internally for booster tanks and pumps.
